Tips to protect your home from looters and thieves

On a small scale, the riots we’ve observed over the past several years are windows into what a modern-day SHTF scenario would look like. Quickly unfolding waves of anger, fear, and desperation would cycle through the entire US population, leaving virtually no “safe” zones anywhere in the country.

What’s more, those who are suspected of having supplies like food, water, fuel, etc., will be targeted. Security cameras and gated entries may only make your home a more attractive target.

That’s why it is so important to have a well thought-out security plan in place to prevent your home from becoming a target for looters and criminal opportunists.

Fortunately, there are several methods that you can utilize to make your house much less appealing to looters (perhaps even threatening), without making your home any less welcoming to your friends and family.
